When one thinks of the Maldives, they only go as far as the clear blue waters. A great view, we agree, but there’s so much more waiting to be discovered. So, we refreshed Amari Raaya’s brand positioning, strategy, messaging, brand film, and social media presence to move beyond the surface level.

It all started with a deep dive into research, and deep we did go. We understood the fall and rise of the post-pandemic travel market and what it now means to carefully but wholly vacation. Then, there was an intrinsic learning process dedicated to our 

competitors landscape, including direct and indirect competition, the warmth of Thai and Indian hospitality, and key takeaways from our target audience’s preferences.

Backed by all this insight, the gap was clear – we needed to connect with culture and tell a story with impactful visuals. A strategy was devised. One that makes Amari more than just a picture-perfect scene. This was supported by an engaging, immersion-led social media plan.

We knew all too well that there are travel aficionados of all age groups and dynamics who don’t only go to the Maldives for honeymoons. These preconceived notions were broken with a communication style that was inclusive, inviting, and overall exciting.

Video formats were prioritised over statics, so everything we put out seemed like a glimpse into this magical island country. Through an unfiltered, untouched style of imagery, we achieved a transparent connection with every viewer.

Holidays are for relaxation and spending a little more time focusing on what really matters.  With Amari, your body and mind are on a free-flowing journey – one that needn’t end when your trip does.

While you may be reading this on yet another screen right now, take this as a sign to step away and rejuvenate. And what better way to do it than to soak up some sun, sand, and soul.
