Hi,

All my life, I only read non-fiction books—mostly about space and WWII history. But this year, I decided to switch things up: one fiction book one month, and one non-fiction the next. If you’ve been here from the start, you know the first book I ever recommended was Project Hail Mary. Obviously, it’s non-fiction.

Now I finally understand why bookworms shout at the top of their lungs, “THE BOOKS WERE BETTER!” The trailer for Project Hail Mary just dropped, and honestly, it kinda lands flat.

I hope I’m wrong—because at the end of the day, movies still rules.

Enjoy!

What Brand is, Is Differentiation

It’s all about context!

While sitting in Fes on Thursday morning, a lady walked in and asked, “Have the interiors changed?” Then quickly added, “Oh no, I have to go to the other one. Sorry, I walked in by mistake.”

Two guys next to my table were arguing about whether some coffee rave happened at this café or the one next door.

If you’ve ever been to Galleria, you’ll know that two coffee shops sit right across from each other — same color palette, same-looking digital menus, same blue chairs.

Which brings me to this video recommendation: Brian Collins — the guy behind the rebranding of Spotify and Dropbox — where he says, “If you’re not ahead of culture, you’re behind it.”

Interaction Of Colour

As a designer, I think my weakness is working with colours, so I keep trying to improve that aspect of my practice. This book really helps me see colour pairings from a different point of view.

It feels like a textbook — full CBSE vibes. The first 76 pages don’t even have any colour in them.

Basic Instinct

I was just 33 years late to this party. Technically 29 cause I was born in 95’ But I was not consuming movies until I was 10 so I guess 23 years late to the party.

It's one of them best thriller films I ever saw. Fast burn doesn't f*ck around. SOILD PLOT. Loved every frame.

Here’s a picture of me wearing a blue shirt, sitting in a blue café, while you see another blue café through your blue eyes.
